Boulder to Alta

Sunday morning marked the end of my time in Colorado and the start of my season in Alta. The ride out of Colorado and up towards Wyoming was going great, until we hit a bit of a snag. One 360 into the ditch, a downed mile marker, a nice dent, and two hours later we were once again on our way. Here are a few pictures from the ride.

If stay in La Punta you will get to see sunsets like this one almost every night, not that you won’t at Carrizalillo and Zicatela too. La Punta is way more relaxed then the scene a little bit up the beach at Zicatela, which I think is a good thing in a town like Puerto.
For your shopping needs in La Punta you can walk up to the main road and check out Mini Super Rubi, they will have just about anything you will need. There is also Mini Super Rubi II, on the corner of Justo Salvador check the map here. Although the Mini Super Rubi II is lacking in just about everything, they do sell homemade Mezcal. Bring in the biggest glass beer bottle you can find and they will fill it to the top for 80 Pesos, 1 liter of good tasting Mezcal for 80 pesos can’t beat that. The bigger Mini Super Rubi also has a wide selection of liquor, and all the bodegas have a good beer selection. Read the rest of this entry »
Puerto Escondido – A Guide – Part 1

Puerto Escondido means Hidden Port, this might have been true when it was named, but today it is just a name. With one of the heaviest and most famous shorebreaks in the world, it did not take long for Puerto to become a must surf location known worldwide. Wedding

My brother and Morgan got married at Pastures of Plenty in Boulder, Colorado. I was the best man at the wedding, so I did not get the chance to take as many pictures as I would have liked, but I think I was still able to get a few good ones.
